Red Dirt Robotics QLD 2024
In term two 2024, Red Dirt Robotics will be embarking on a three month intensive tour of regional and remote Queensland, taking robotics, 3D printing and drones into schools and organisations who would otherwise be missing out on opportunities to learn about these technologies. This tour is funded by the Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation, who have provided $50,000 toward helping Red Dirt Robotics’s mission of making STEM education as accessible as possible.
Joining me on this tour will be Georgie Arnold from Aviatrix Australia. Aviatrix Australia was started as a way of educating, encouraging and supporting more women to join the aviation industry. I am really excited to have Georgie joining the Red Dirt Robotics team next year and working alongside Aviatrix Australia.
Throughout the tour, Georgie will deliver very casual yet inspiring presentations on the ins and outs of the aviation industry. She will encourage students by sharing the story of her journey in aviation and educating them about the various career pathways available within the industry after school.
This opportunity is open to all schools and organisations outside of South East Queensland where two free workshops of their choosing from Robotics & Programming, CAD & 3D Printing or Drones & Programming will be offered. These programs are aimed at grades 4 to 10. Additional courses can be held upon request for their regular fees.
Expressions of interest have now closed. Thank you to all schools who reached out in the last few months. Though EOI’s have now closed, you haven’t missed out yet. Please contact Jameson directly to see if there is still space on the tour for your school.
