The FIRST Lego League (FLL) is the world's biggest school student robotics competition and Royal Robotics is here to teach you everything you need to know to set you up for success! During our fun-packed session, we will teach you robotics concepts like building with strength and integrity, coding a robot to complete challenges and so much more! And the best part? Everything we learn will be used in fun and engaging mini-games and challenges along the way!
Learn these skills through a hands-on session with world-renowned, internationally award-winning students as personal educators! Build and construct your own robots to complete FLL-style challenges and then program using world-leading coding techniques with real-world applications!
Course Outline and Ticket Options:
Beginner Course ($75):
This course runs over the first 2 days and covers the fundamentals of the FIRST Lego League competition. Students will complete basic missions and challenges on a real FLL board whilst learning fundamental Lego Robotics skills. All skill levels are welcome to attend. No prior experience with any form of robotics is needed.
Advanced Course ($40):
This course is a 1-day workshop with the goal of diving deeper into the competition of FIRST Lego League. Students will cover more advanced robotics building and programming concepts, and learn valuable lessons in developing their teamwork skills whilst still completing fun and engaging challenges! All skill levels are welcome to attend. However, it is recommended students have some experience with Lego robotics or have completed our Beginner Workshop.
Complete Course ($105):
This is our recommended course structure, where students get to experience all 3 days of the FIRST Lego League workshops at a discounted price! Students will have the opportunity to work with a single robot in a group for the entire length of the course and leave the course as a true FIRST Lego League professional!

Beginners Course:
Wednesday: 18/01/2023, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Thursday: 19/01/2023, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Advanced Course:
Friday: 20/01/2023, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
What to Bring:
All participants are required to bring a packed lunch and water bottle.
If available it is recommended they bring their own laptop with the Lego SPIKE programming software. If you do not wish to download the software onto your student's device, a web version of the software can be used instead. Laptops will be provided to students who cannot bring a laptop free of charge.
